December 14, 2010 First of all, I just wanted to say thank you for making a book whichopen-minded my thinking process.it helped me when to continue theaggression, how to play on the turn and river as the PFC and the bestadvice: how to beat midstakes. 2 years ago I was a midstakes grinderand I was exploitable before I bought the book from slowhabit and ctsbut after I read the book a couple of times, understanding not to bespewy every time I open-raised and not to be exploitable anymore, mygameplan improved and my winrate as well, but some reasons I have tomove back to the micros, I talked about it in the forums. Now I'm playing NL10 and try to beat NL25. I can say in the mid of2011 Ill be back in the smallstakes and I cannot wait to try thosethings out what I learned from this book. LTBR was my second book that I bought and its the best book that Iread until now. I found all my questions in the book like why am I3betting so much preflop and your answer in this book because younarrower his range after u 3bet him and its easier to play 3bpots IP.This is one of many examples why I recommend my friends to buy thisbook. Its a book which 2 coaches gives their thinking process and howto solve his leak in his own. As I mentioned it before, in this book Ilearned a lot of stuffs, how to use combinatorics and folde quity in ahand, solve leaks like attacking limped pots, its easier to balancehis bet-bet-bet than c/c.your advice is always in my mind: dont blufftoo much, and if you do, empty the clip. Its a lot of work how to doit correctly but im very proud to have this book and to be a memberfrom dailyvariance.com |

January 20, 2011 Winning at poker five years ago, some said, was as easy as taking candy from a baby. However, if you had to be honest about the current state of the game, you would probably say that baby has grown into a vicious 3betting, double barreling, 5bet shoving, fire breathing dragon that lurks inside your computer, waiting to eat your bankroll. When I started, I was a fish who loaded up my entire bankroll on one table and cried “poker’s rigged” when I lost. Currently, I play 25NL and since I read Let There Be Range and The Poker Blueprint, I’ve gone from shot-taking fish to solid (6.5bb/100) part time reg. I went from fearing 3bet pots to pounding my opponents, and welcoming reg wars. I learned about bankroll management and improved my hand reading ability by applying simple concepts from the books like card removals. My ultimate goal is to move to 200NL and supplement my income. I work full-time, so I consider poker a hobby and a passion. If you are like me and are serious about pushing the envelope and improving your game, do as I did and call the dragon slayer, Daily Variance! |
